Football: Chamois Niortais administratively relegated to National 2

This is a real blow to the Chamois Niortais and all their supporters. While on a sporting level, the Chamois were close to returning to Ligue 2 BKT at the end of the last season, the club should finally evolve into National 2the fourth level of French football from next season.

This decision was announced by the DNCGthis Wednesday, June 26. The administrative and financial guarantees presented by the club’s management were not sufficient according to the DNCG in order to evolve in National 1. The club can still appeal this decision.

Training scheduled to resume on July 3

The Chamois Niortais therefore still do not know in which championship they will play next season even if the chances of success of the appeal seem slim. The players on their side will resume training this Wednesday, July 3.

They will try to prepare as best as possible for the start of next season without worrying too much about the club’s administrative difficulties.
