“A lawyer defends a cause, he is not the originator of anything. Physically attacking a lawyer to intimidate him is intolerable in a rule of law”declares Nancy President Rui Manuel Perreira.

When the lawyer was beaten,The attackers blamed him “to take money from ASNL”. This is the second attack targeting this lawyer.
“Everyone has the right to be defended, whatever the cause. The physical attack, of which my colleague was the victim, is intolerable. Justice is done in the courtrooms, in the courts, not with punches in the entrance hall of a building… We cannot work peacefully if we are afraid of being attacked at any time, because we are doing our job.”continue Mr Perreira.
Mobilization in the profession also took place in Épinal. In front of the judicial court, around sixty lawyers came out this Thursday morning to provide their support and declare their indignation.
