The Girondins de Bordeaux will appear before the DNCG this Thursday in the hope of avoiding administrative relegation to the National category.

As in 2022, the Girondins de Bordeaux could be administratively demoted, this time from Ligue 2 to the National. And for good reason, L’Equipe indicates in today’s edition that the scapular club is passing the DNCG this Thursday with the aim of avoiding this terrible sanction. The trend is not necessarily positive because according to the national daily, discussions with a financial partner capable of supporting the club have not “not finalized on time”.

Therefore, there is reason to tremble for the supporters of the Marine et Blanc, especially since the Girondins de Bordeaux had requested the postponement of their hearing initially scheduled for June 19 in order to complete the process initiated in September last on time. This is not a priori the case and according to sources, between 30 and 43 million euros are still missing to reassure the DNCG and ensure the presence of the Girondins de Bordeaux in Ligue 2 next season. The next few hours promise to be stressful for Bordeaux supporters. In the event of an administrative demotion to National pronounced by the DNCG, it is a safe bet that the Girondins will appeal to gain time, with the hope of narrowly avoiding catastrophe.
