Jordan Philippy’s game advice for the Pick 5 on Thursday, June 27 at La Teste-de-Buch (R1C5)

R1C5 – Prix du Cabinet Vétérinaire Vet à la Hume – La Teste-de-Buch – 1800m – 18 runners – 6:23 p.m.

Pick 5 – Reduced Field: 2 – 6 – 7 – X – X/ 1 – 5 – 8 – 9 – 11 – 12 – 13 – 14 – 15 (Flexi 25%) = 9€

The basics :

2 – Highbari: A true “beast of Quinté”, this valiant offspring of Zanzibar has been regaining morale in the provinces since the start of the season. Performing well on this track (second for his only attempt, over 1900 metres), he deserves to be given a lot of credit in 36 value.

6 – Athanasia: Taken note on June 3rd on the “mile” of this Testerine track (5th), this protégé of François Rohaut seems to have found his competitive zone in the handicaps with a value of 35.5. The only downside is his number 18 in the stalls. To reassure ourselves, let us remember the following adage: “There are no bad rope numbers, just bad courses…”

7 – Laurent: Winner of the first event of this divided handicap last year, this train horse seems very well placed to win this handicap. Indeed, his form and his suitability for the course are safe, and he has the advantage of being able to go in the lead, which constitutes a great advantage on this Testin route. It logically serves as a solid base in this Pick 5.

The associates :

1 – Nordeste: He likes to move forward and could go far on this Testin track, especially since he is ideally engaged at the top of the table.

5 – African Gray: Well placed in the starting stalls (1), he was second in the first event of this divided handicap, 3 years ago, and seventh last year, at approximately identical values. Good luck.

8 – Va S’y Mix: More comfortable on soft ground, it has nevertheless already done well on good ground, and has often shown its advantage on this track. Partner of choice.

9 – Damask Blade: This resident of Fabrice Vermeulen enjoys the lead race. Which can be an advantage on this course.

11 – Aspe Fly: Somewhat down on the value scale (- 3 kilos since the start of the year), it can resurface.

12 – Druid: Very constant, this student ofEric Libaud must be largely competitive in 33 value for his first handicap, given his lines. He has his place at the finish.

13 – Pieter de Hooch: On an old value, this ex-resident of Stéphane Wattel could even be downgraded. Despite a recent lackluster release, and with the discharge ofAdeline Mérouit is better to keep him among our associates.

14 – Lunaticos: He has just left a very good impression in Nantes (4th), in a similar tournament. Great possibility.

15 – Born To Dream: This former protégé ofAlessandro Botti experienced mixed fortunes and a career break lasting several months. In a new environment, and at the start of his first handicap, he is one of the “X” of the race.
