The Pastoral Care of Tourism, the Saturday June 29 from 6:30 p.m., organizes this year the Night of the Churches, at the Immaculée-Conception (13 boulevard de Genève) in Béziers. This demonstration consists of opening the door of a church.
And it’s an opportunity for the local community to be welcoming and friendly. The evening is dedicated to Mary.
Night program: at 6:30 p.m., welcome in the church courtyard and presentation of the exterior of the church by Joseph Brémond. At 7 p.m., musical time and poems about Mary. At 7:30 p.m., welcome in the courtyard of Notre-Dame school by the director Frédéric Birling, then singing to the Virgin by the students.
At 8 p.m., friendly time in the courtyard, then at 8:45 p.m., people are invited to discover the interior of the church. At 9 p.m., the school’s students will perform the Ave Maria with light shows, followed by the Praise group who will sing different religious songs.
“The Church is truly in its place when it is close to people, it is our identity as Catholics which is expressed in this welcome,” indicates the Ministry of Tourism and Leisure of Béziers.
