Afpa, an agency for adult vocational training, is a public industrial and commercial establishment with public service missions.
We offer training and retraining for workers throughout their professional careers in diverse and varied fields, for all levels, and which meet the challenges of tomorrow: Personal and business services, artistic crafts, construction and public works, commerce, sales and distribution, support functions, hospitality – catering, tourism, industry (metals and aeronautics), mechanics (automobile, cycles & motorcycles), integration and mediation professions, networks-telecommunications- IT-digital and logistics.
In Occitanie, Afpa has 15,000 beneficiaries with 8,000 people trained as part of a professional qualification, 7,000 supported in the 15 centers and 7 branches.
In 2019, Afpa created its Apprentice Training Center (CFA), convinced that apprenticeship is a solution for the future for young people and businesses. One of the real added values of this CFA is that at Afpa, we offer the start of the school year all year round, which allows maximum flexibility for learners. In addition, our “Signed Afpa” label guarantees high-quality training recognized by employers. This approach ensures that our trainees and apprentices are always ready to enter the job market as soon as opportunities arise.

These training courses are aimed at all active workers, employees and job seekers: with on-site catering service and possible accommodation, financed by the Occitanie Region and free for job seekers. For people registered with France Travail, these training courses are financed and can be paid depending on each situation.

Every Thursday, from 9 a.m., the Alès center opens its doors to all workers, to provide information and advice to job seekers, young people, employees, self-employed people, etc.
Whether visitors are considering professional retraining, a return to employment, upgrading, upskilling or looking for a work-study program, the Afpa centers in the region offer personalized solutions.
“Afpa Thursdays” are the ideal opportunity to explore the training offerings of Afpa centers, learn about the different sectors of activity and benefit from advice adapted to each situation.
