In Vannes, free concerts will launch the Emancipéés in September

The programming of the Les Emancipéés festival is eagerly awaited by the public every year. It has just been unveiled by the Scènes du Golfe organization, in collaboration with Échonova. The festival will take place from September 27 to October 6 and no longer in the spring. New this year, it will begin with a free opening weekend at the port.

Eight free concerts

It was Rodrigue Mercier, programmer at Échonova, who put together the two evenings of concerts, in collaboration with Ghislaine Gouby, the creator of the festival and artistic director. “The idea is to continue to offer an opening to new generation artists. Moving the festival to the end of September was also a desire of the City of Vannes to offer a highlight to students in particular,” explained Rodrigue Mercier during the presentation of the festival, recalling that the collaboration between Échonova and Les Scènes du Golfe began last year with two evenings at the Échonova where Zaho De Sagazan (Editor’s note: four times awarded at the Victoires de la Musique 2024 with her album La symphonie des éclairs), Emma Peters, Chien noir etc. appeared. . “Four artists will perform every evening of the weekend from 7 p.m., in quite different aesthetics but who, in my opinion, have a good representation of the French pop scene but not only that. » Thus, on Friday September 27, Pappoz (French pop group) will launch the festivities, followed by Solann (song), Voyou (French pop) and the rapper Yvnnis. On Saturday September 28, we will find Miki (pop song), Isaac Delusion (pop), Adèle Castillon (pop song) and the rapper Rounhaa will close this opening weekend.

André Manoukian, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Alice Zeniter…

Five creations, the DNA of the festival, will be presented to the public between a musical show, concert and musical readings. Five literary meetings are on the program including those with Alice Zeniter and Alix Penent, Marie-Hélène Lafon, Tania de Montaigne, three meetings which will be hosted by Alexandre Fillon, doctor and professor of philosophy. The public will also be able to enjoy the reading of poems by Rima Abdul Malak, former Minister of Culture, and Falmarès, Guinean poet who passed through Vannes. Christine Angot’s film, “Une famille”, will be screened at the Cinéville de la Garenne in the presence of the director. Seven concerts and musical shows will be on display at the Palais des arts et des congrès. “With Olivier Gluzman, Arnaud Cathrine and Rodrigue Mercier, we tried to find angles, original and unique approaches. Among the artists, the composer and pianist André Manoukian associated with the singer Rosemary Standley, Noor, Cléa Vincent, Clara Ysé. A tribute will be paid to Jane Birkin in the presence of her daughter Charlotte Gainsbourg and Emmanuelle Béart.
