This measure takes effect this Monday, November 18 and applies for one month, until Wednesday, December 18. Four municipalities in the department are concerned: , , and .

A valuable tool for law enforcement in the face of urban rodeos

“A phenomenon of resurgence of urban rodeos is observed in our department, having already caused accidents, several injuries and one death,” underlines the prefecture of Haute-Garonne in a press release. “These behaviors and uses of non-approved vehicles, in defiance of the highway code, also generate disturbances to public order, particularly with considerable noise pollution. »

“The recurrence of these events is high” in municipalities where the authorization to use drones is extended. The use of drones allows law enforcement to have an overview of the areas concerned and to react quickly, while avoiding massive deployment on the ground. Especially since the meeting places are often kept secret until the last minute by their organizers and the distances traveled can be significant.
