Moroccan international Aymen Moueffek will reach the end of his contract with the Saint-Étienne Greens at the end of the month. A decisive meeting is planned between the Saint-Etienne leaders and the player to discuss his future.

At 23, Moueffek is at a turning point in his career. The midfielder is attracting the interest of several clubs, but he does not rule out the possibility of extending his contract and continuing his progression in Ligue 1. According to Foot Mercato, the Moroccan player has around ten offers on the table, but Saint-Étienne hopes to convince him to stay.

Present at the club since 2012, Moueffek went through all the youth categories before signing his first professional contract in 2019. This season, he confirmed the expectations placed on him and gained in consistency. His strong performances were crucial to AS Saint-Étienne’s return to Ligue 1.

The athlete, originally from Nouvelle-Aquitaine, played 2,133 minutes this season, spread over 38 matches, with a record of four goals and two assists. Very versatile, he occupied various positions in the midfield, making him the eleventh most used player by coach Olivier Dall’Oglio. His technique and versatile abilities, notably his two left-footed goals, illustrate his many qualities.

Moueffek’s choice, between extending with Saint-Étienne and exploring new horizons, will determine the next stage of his career. Greens supporters hope that he will choose to continue to shine in their colors, while other clubs are watching for the possibility of welcoming him into their ranks. Whatever his decision, the future of the young Atlas Lion Cub looks promising.
