the essential
The All For You group is opening the Coup de Bambou bar restaurant this weekend on Place Saint-Georges, replacing Le Miroir. Yet another deal for the Toulouse group.

In the past, the blow of bamboo meant that the bill was high. A definition which will have nothing to do with the new bistro which opens this weekend in place of the restaurant Le Miroir which remained for fourteen years on Place Saint-Georges.

“We simply took the name of an establishment that was there from 1982 to 1986 before Fil à la Patte and Miroir,” explains Fabien Mast, partner of the All For You group, once again behind this opening and who, with this place, is opening the group’s first bar. “The name is striking, easy to remember and it gives a little exotic touch that is not common. And then we love Place Saint-Georges. It is not an easy esplanade but it is dynamic,” he continues.

As for the cuisine, nothing complicated at “Coup de Bambou” but a local cuisine in a bistro version with products from Samaran, Garcia, etc., classic at lunchtime and dishes to share in the evening. As for the decoration, it will be the Art Deco version with a profusion of colors. If the young clientele is rather targeted, families are welcome: “in fact this place is for everyone. It is especially depending on the time of day that the clientele varies”.

A new “Compagnie Français” in Saint-Michel

A rather verbose year for the Toulouse group which has five restaurant openings this year: “We opened on the outskirts (Fenouillet, Balma and Blagnac) the Trois Jacques to replace the Courte Paille, the Coup de Bambou and a second La Compagnie restaurant Française is planned for September on Grande Rue Saint-Michel near the Cité des Chercheurs. A way to revitalize this district which is currently undergoing renovation,” concludes Fabien Mast.
