They had come to “secure” the Cronenbourg district. But on Thursday April 11, 2023, these five police officers from CRS 36, based near Metz, seriously deviated from their mission. In front of the pharmacy on rue Langevin around 5 p.m., one of the police officers spotted a person smoking. He decides to check that it is not a joint. On the other side of the track is Sofiane, a young North African with a cap and his friend Burak, of Turkish origin.
According to the police, Sofiane and Burak began to insult them, calling them sons of whores. They stop controlling them, turn around and ask the two young people to come closer. From there, the situation degenerated and this led to the five police officers finding themselves before the Strasbourg criminal court on Thursday June 20.
