In Toronto, police are searching for a suspect who opened fire from the back seat of an SUV at eight locations in the city’s east end on Saturday and Sunday.

Police said in a statement that the shootings, which occurred between 2 a.m. Saturday and 7:45 p.m. Sunday, were linked to the tow truck industry.

Investigators believe the suspect may have used the same stolen vehicle, a dark-colored Honda CRV, to travel from one location to another.

The shooter opened fire at victims’ addresses before fleeing in a car, according to police.

No one was injured, but numerous vehicles, homes and workplaces were hit by the projectiles, police said.

No description of the suspect or possible accomplices has been provided.
