Established in 2013/14, the labels were awarded for the 2023/24 financial year. And for the second time in a row, since the criteria evolved in 2022, JL Bourg is the only club labeled Gold by the LNB. An honorary distinction but synonymous with European excellence and financial valuation, obviously higher than the other two labels.

While the evaluation is done through five sections (Club project, human resources, financial and budgetary structuring, sports and training policy, customer experience / digital / CSR), the Bressan club obtained the best marks in three specific sections and second place, behind ASVEL, in terms of sports policy and training. Lyon-Villeurbanne is also best rated for human resources.

Pau returns, Limoges disappears…

In total, 22 clubs obtained a Label, the same number as last season since the Roca Team finally obtained bronze after re-examination of its file. Among the notable progressions, we will notice those of the finalists Paris and Monaco, holders of Silver for the first time. Conversely, three clubs disappeared from the list: Limoges (labeled Silver last year) and the Metropolitans 92 (Bronze), for obvious reasons, as well as Le Portel. They are replaced by Élan Béarnais, previously accustomed to the Argent label but who had no longer been certified since 2022), and two novices, Aix-Maurienne and SCABB.

Information to remember:

  • They go from bronze to silver : Monaco, Paris and Orléans
  • They’re tumbling from silver to bronze : Person
  • They are off the charts : Limoges, Boulogne-Levallois and Le Portel
  • They find the bronze : Élan Béarnais
  • They get bronze for the first time : Aix-Maurienne and Saint-Chamond.

While applying for certification was optional until then, it will become mandatory from the 2024/25 season for all LNB clubs.
