Scheduled for this Saturday, the Agen Supercross is canceled.

The bad weather will have got the better of the 2024 edition of the Supercross. The first round of the French SX-Tour championship will not take place this Saturday as planned.

The track built especially for the occasion will not accommodate drivers, some of whom have traveled from the United States or Spain.

“The decision is as sudden as it is brutal but the unusually unfavorable weather this season, extremely rainy for 48 hours in the South-West and particularly Lot-et-Garonne, makes the conditions difficult,” the organizers indicated in a press release. “Holding the opening event of the French Supercross Championship in Agen on Saturday is therefore impossible.”

Heartbroken, the organizing team of JLFO, Ride For Fun and Walygator Park have to cancel the event.

However, as a preventive measure, the covering of the track to protect it from bad weather was carried out yesterday, as was the provision of materials on the soggy ground for access by the public and drivers in the paddock. But the level of rainfall doubled, flooding the site and no longer allowing any installation of structures for this event.

The weather forecasts this Friday and Saturday do not tend towards sufficient improvement for the Supercross to be held in acceptable conditions.

All scenarios such as a postponement of the date have been studied, but a confrontation of events and other numerous factors destroy any possibility, indicate the organizers.

The event management already specifies that spectators will be reimbursed for tickets already purchased.
