On this morning of Wednesday, June 26, 2024, the multi-sport beach school challenge aimed at raising awareness of cyberbullying, supported by Orange and the UNSS, took place in Saint-Pierre-La-Mer, the first having taken place on May 29.

As part of its commitment to raising awareness of the dangers of the digital world, the telephone operator Orange offers young volunteers workshops on cyberbullying through sports. The aim is to make participants aware of the risks of cyberbullying, but also of the right reactions to adopt when we or one of our loved ones suffers it.

These workshops are part of the “Orange Digital Center” program, which aims to make the digital world more secure. This awareness-raising covers topics that directly affect middle school students: building their digital identity, cyberbullying, the notion of real and virtual friendship, the risks of prolonged use of screens and good practices for protecting yourself on the Internet.

Orange and the National Union of School Sports are joining forces to set up awareness workshops throughout the year. Florent Faure, Director of Digital Inclusion and the Orange Digital Center at Orange in Occitanie and Nouvelle Aquitaine, spoke on the subject: Given the predominant place of digital technology in the daily lives of young people, it is essential to give them the right guidelines so that they behave responsibly on social networks and use the internet positively in general: sport is an excellent way to transmit the right reflexes to adopt.”

This partnership with Orange helps raise awareness among young people in a favorable and positive context: that of sports.” Please note that in France, more than 20% of young people have already suffered from cyberbullying.
