The President of the French Republic Emmanuel MACRON decided on June 9, 2024 to dissolve the National Assembly (AN) in accordance with article 12 of the Constitution. At the same time, he immediately announces the dates of the first and second rounds of the legislative elections. Although he does not have the obligation to inform the two Presidents of the Senate and the AN, in general, on the one hand, the Constitution gives him this possibility, on the other hand, his predecessors have always done. According to two major media outlets, while a CNEWS journalist was informed of this decision, the Prime Minister of the government he himself appointed was not. It follows that this partition by the President of the Republic was carefully considered and that it denotes the extreme seriousness of the situation in France.

If the extreme right does not worry Overseas due to lack of historical and political culture linked to the intensity of alienation, Western Europe just like Eastern Europe knows the philosophy of extreme right and its consequences on humanity. If one has any doubt about what it can do, one need only look at the extreme right in power in Israel, that of “United Russia” in the Russian Federation and “Servant of the People” in Ukraine.

This situation in France, which is dragging all of Overseas in its wake, requires us to be lucid and not to make mistakes in the choice of our representatives in the National Assembly.

During the second round of the 2022 legislative elections, I called to vote for Jean-Victor CASTOR, specifying the reasons for my choice. These reasons still remain valid. Two years into his mandate, I am even more convinced that he must continue his mission because he has worked and his results are positive. Also, I will renew my confidence in him and I will vote for him in the first round. I also call on the comrades of our Party, our supporters to trust me and therefore to call to vote and to vote for Jean-Victor CASTOR.

Regarding Davy RIMANE in the second constituency, I had not given any voting instructions in 2022. Deputy Davy RIMANE pleasantly surprised me in his determination to defend the interests of our territory. He did a lot of work during his mandate and his results are positive. This time, I put my trust in him from the first round and I ask our comrades and supporters to vote and call for a vote for Davy RIMANE.

Guyana has never had this chance to have two deputies working together for the interest of its Territory. Their approach goes beyond the framework of political parties. It is part of the perception we have of ourselves. Do we have a high opinion of ourselves or a low opinion of ourselves synonymous with small, insignificant supporters. If we have not observed, both in the body language and in the comments made and the actions carried out by the two deputies, it is that: “there is no worse blind person than the one who does not want to see “. The era of boots is over, the time of auxiliaries has come to an end. Only dignity is a great open door to the future.

Just to finish because, I don’t want to be too long. I heard nonsense from an opponent of these two courageous and efficient deputies saying that he had not sent them to defend the interests of others in the Assembly. On the one hand, it is clear that he never voted for them so he is a liar and on the other hand, if he perhaps knows the role of an MP, he is at least unaware of his status and he confuses the two. Finally, he shows that he understands nothing about politics and he confuses agitation with politics.

I call on voters and particularly young people to vote for the outgoing deputies Jean-Victor CASTOR and Davy RIMANE. The future is yours. For more advanced generations, I invite the most conscious among us and many of us do the same.
