The youngest members of Jean Pierre Figueredo’s group stand out at the regional championships in Saint-Jean-de-Luz.

Under very bad weather conditions, the young Villeneuve athletes were able to do well.

To begin with, Doriann Minaudier Moussairoux came second in the pole vault with a personal best of 2m71, 3rd in the 50m hurdles and 7th in the javelin, taking a very good 5th place in the triathlon (1 race 1 jump 1 throw).

Enzo Villa for his part took 1st place in the length and second in the 50 m flat as well as 6th place in the javelin, promising performances for next season.

The third youngest Baptiste Gangarz finished 7th in the 50m with his personal best, 12th in length again with a record and 24th in the javelin with an interesting progression.

Among the girls, Annael Soubiroux Macalli finished in a very good 5th place in the hammer throw, with a very promising new record, as well as a 10th place in the triple jump with also a record.

For her part, Luna D Oliveira breaks 3 records: in the 1,000 m she is 10th with 3min41, in length 15th and in javelin 17th, promising performances again for the future.

To conclude, Hemy Hermet also beat his record over 1,000 m and obtained a good 7th place in 3min39.

We congratulate these young athletes who promise great performances for the next season, and this friendly and motivated group.

Next events for the club: today in Mont-de-Marsan, and many other competitions are to come in this season once again rich in results.
