In 2022, 30% of the world’s population suffered from allergies. According to WHOthis percentage will rise to 50 by 2050.

To combat this problem, the company Lify-Air created a pollen sensor which he deployed to Annecy.

“Many allergy sufferers suffer in silence”

According to Lify-Air, the sensor succeeds in “measuring, counting and identifying the different pollens present in the air it inhales”. The data is then transmitted to a applicationwhich allergy sufferers can download.

“ “Millions of allergy sufferers today suffer in silence, resigned. Our goal is to better support them in their daily lives,” underlines Jérôme Richard, CEO of the company.

On the app Live Pollenyou can receive notifications about allergies that concern you, get little tips for adjusting your treatment, etc.

Ultimately, the goal is to have dozens and dozens of sensors in the sector. “The grains generally fall between 1 and 10 kilometers around their Source of emission,” underlines co-founder Johann Lautier in a press release. By multiplying the sensors, Lify-Air intends to increase the precision of its counts.
