The inauguration of Place du Général-Ferrié, in Laval (Mayenne), will take on a festive feel, Wednesday June 5, 2024. Laval Mayenne ménagements (LMA) has planned several free events on the sidelines of the official event with the mayor , Florian Bercault, at 6 p.m.
At 2:30 p.m. or 4 p.m., the public will be able to enjoy a guided tour with the town planner and landscaper (registration via [email protected] or 02 43 91 45 25). An exhibition retracing the history of this former soldier will complete the discovery.
Lots of activities for children
Children will not be forgotten with lots of activities from 3 p.m.: making seed bombs, flowering at the base of the wall, observing insects, Fabrik’à burger to discover short circuits, model to explain rainwater management … At 4:30 p.m., they will be able to enjoy a free snack made from local products.
Mayenne illustrator Melle Fifi will invite the public to draw an ephemeral work on the ground. Then, in the evening, time for “a pre-Music Festival”, announces LMA. At 6:30 p.m., “the groovy Mayenne group” Kumkat will play on the neighboring Place Albert-Jacquard. Then the singer-guitarist Emissaire will perform at the Mess.
