While the final results have not yet been released, in the 1st constituency of the Alpes-Maritimes, the outgoing MP Eric Ciotti is leading the race with almost 41% of the votes.

According to these very first estimates, he is followed by Olivier Salerno (La France insoumise – Nouveau Front populaire) who received 27% of the votes and Graig Monetti (Horizons) who finished on the last step of the podium with 23% of the votes.

A very uncomfortable situation for the deputy mayor of Nice and candidate of the presidential majority while the contested boss of the Republicans retains a significant cushion of votes against the candidate of the united left who seems to establish himself as the most legitimate challenger facing Eric Ciotti.

“Victory is in sight”

In a first statement shortly after 8 p.m., Eric Ciotti announced that victory was “in sight” for him in this 1st constituency of the Alpes-Maritimes.

“This evening, victory is in sight in the 1st, 3rd and 5th constituencies of Nice But also to bring Jordan Bardella to Matignon. The threat from the far left is more real than ever”, he explained. Before calling on the LR to join him in his alliance with the RN: “Tonight, it is no longer possible to refuse to make a choice between our union and this terrifying danger from the extreme left. The Republicans must participate in the victory of the entire right.”
