Réunion Food Festival, the gourmet meeting

Supported by Atout France as part of the Paris Olympic Games and the passing of the Olympic flame in Reunion as well as by the City of Saint-Denis, designated Land of Games 2024, this new kind of festival will highlight the excellence of local gastronomy and the richness of Reunion’s culinary and tourist heritage.

The Réunion Food Festival stands out for its commitment to promoting Péï gastronomy, highlighting the flavors and talents of Réunion while exploring new trends and culinary inspirations. In partnership with the Réunion Region, the Department, Cinor, the FRT, the UMIH and many other public and private partners committed to their territory, the event aims to celebrate and make gastronomy accessible to all, to promote knowledge -the work and talents of Reunion chefs, producers and artisans, and to create authentic links between the different audiences.
On the program for these 4 days, a large gourmet restaurant run by 7 renowned chefs including Nicolas Rivière (Radisson), Kevin Minatchy (Dina morgabine), Valérie Lucas (Cassava) and Emilie Cucurnia (Origines Patisserie), gourmet Food Courts presenting a panel of Péï chefs, showcooking – tastings led by chef Claude Pothin du Palm, elected best chef of Réunion 2024, cooking workshops with Pépé José, a village of “100% Réunion” producers in partnership with the Department of Reunion, ron kozé, musical entertainment (Gren semé, Kanasel, Madiakanou, TinePoppy..) and ar,s,ques which will punctuate this 9th great gastronomy festival for the pleasure of young and old gourmands.

One of the most striking aspects of this first edition is the participation of the chefs of the Saint-Denis ecoboxes. In preparation for their visit to the festival, masterclasses were organized under the aegis of Chef Joey Atchama at the Cité du Gôut et des Saveurs de Sainte-Clotilde as part of a partnership with the Chamber of Trades and the Crafts from Reunion Island. These sessions encouraged exchanges between different types of chefs (ecobox, caterers, restaurateurs) and made it possible to enhance each signature dish by adding a gastronomic touch. In this way, their honorable work in catering and promoting quality cooked dishes, too often overlooked, will be highlighted, allowing the public to discover and appreciate their talents and passion for cooking.

The Réunion Food Festival promises to be a special moment of culinary discoveries, sharing and conviviality, highlighting Reunion know-how and offering a unique taste experience for all visitors. Come and celebrate Paï gastronomy, with family, friends or colleagues, from June 13 to 16, 2024 at the new Square du Barachois in Saint-Denis!
