After a lottery at the start of the year, this Sunday, on the banks of the Lot, the first garage sale was held organized by the APE of schools – nursery and primary – of St-Sylvestre-sur-Lot. Despite the good weather, he had not refueled. A difficult challenge during this period when many events are organized in the surrounding area. Added to this for the APE office was the difficulty of mobilizing volunteers. For the 3rd consecutive year, Alice Magné, president, Marianne Boutolleau, secretary, and Christelle Lacam, treasurer, manage this association whose objective is to propose and organize events whose profits are used to finance outings and other activities for the benefit of children of the 2 educational establishments. The next scheduled event: the fair on the afternoon of Saturday June 8. The actions carried out by the APE make it possible to partially or fully finance transport for end-of-year outings, Christmas or end-of-year shows, the purchase of toys and equipment (donation of 500 euros to each school in the first year of their mandate) as well as various other activities. To raise funds, they organized raffles in schools and the sale of screen-printed objects with drawings made by the children. Alice, Marianne and Christelle have decided to resign from their positions with the APE and are looking for successors for the 2024-2025 school year.
