CELEBRATIONS. Activities are planned in Brome-Missisquoi in connection with Canada Day, next Sunday and Monday.

COWANSVILLE

On the Cowansville side, the festivities will take place at the Nature Center.

A circus initiation activity is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the 1stis July. Inflatable games will also be on site, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Subsequently, the MAC3 duo, composed of Stéphane Morin and Sylvie Côté, will perform from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Then, at 10 p.m., fireworks will brighten the sky.

Those on site will also be able to obtain alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from Tite Frette and Le Sage brasseur.

BROME LAKE

In Lac-Brome, the celebrations will take place on June 30, at Parc des Lions, from 2 p.m.

A bicycle parade will get the ball rolling at the start of the festivities.

The opening ceremony will take place immediately afterwards, at 2:15 p.m.

A bingo is also planned from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Inflatables, an antique car show, free ice cream, a craft activity, a children’s dog show, face painting, a magician and balloon artist, hot dogs and cake are also on the schedule.

Throughout much of the festivities, Mannix will be providing live music.

The Knowlton Harmony Band will also perform.

Fireworks will close the day at 10 p.m.

SUTTON

The Sutton Legion also celebrates Canada Day, on 1is July at the Sutton Legion space on Curley Street.

At 2 p.m., there will be a salute to the flag and a rendition of the national anthem.

A performance by Eric the Juggler is organized for 2:20 p.m.

Hot dogs, ice cream and cake will be served.

Musically, Marie Neige Chatelain Jazz Trio, with Michael Hynes and Thiago Ferté, the Squeegee Duo, Pasquinel Heynen, Connections and The Random Chance Band will perform on stage.

Activities should conclude around 7:30 p.m.
