Residents of Cormeilles-en-Parisis (Val-d'Oise) will soon no longer have to travel to another municipality to go to the cinema. A complex of six rooms and 730 seats will open in the summer of 2025, following the completion of work on the future leisure center, reports The Gazette du Val-d'Oise .
A legal appeal rejected
It has been 15 years since the town, supported by its mayor, wanted to welcome a new cinema. “You have to know how to be patient”confirmed the councilor, Friday November 15, 2024, while the administrative court of appeal of Versailles rejected the last appeal against this project.
It was Fiminco, carrying out a similar project in the neighboring town of Argenteuil, which took legal action. The project in Argenteuil having been canceled, the elected officials of Cormeilles-en-Parisis are not worried about the legal consequences. The cinema will therefore open in a few months, as will a bowling alley, a go-kart, a café-theatre, a fitness room and even a trampoline at the leisure centre.
