It was a macabre discovery which took place on Saturday October 19, in Doubs. The lifeless body of an octogenarian was discovered in Geney, during a citizen search organized to try to find the old man.
The octogenarian, who lived in the town, was last seen alive on October 9 by neighbors. He told them that he wanted to go to the mushrooms the next day. After this meeting, the 89-year-old man disappeared; it was a nurse who did not find him at home who raised the alarm.
The Doubs gendarmerie had launched a call for witnesses to try to locate him. The area had been combed by the gendarmerie and searches carried out in watercourses and wells.
The body of the octogenarian was found on the edge of the forest, Saturday October 19 at 8:45 a.m., indicates the Doubs gendarmerie. The man was apparently unwell according to initial findings. The body was handed over to the family, said the police.
