Martin, the savior
While they were heading towards a third defeat in all competitions, they equalized at the very end of the match, Lolita Martin becoming the savior with a magnificent free kick from the edge of the area (1-1, 90th). Impeccable during the penalty shootout with five successful attempts, Pôle Palois could breathe easy: it will compete in the 4th round of the Coupe de France.
“Without playing a great match, we knew how to not give up mentally to get this equalizer. For girls, you have to reach the first federal round to get the jerseys. It could be a great reward, we only have one match to win to achieve it,” said coach Laurent Poeydomenge, who hopes that this qualification will allow his team to regain confidence with a view to the championship.
