Pheasants and partridges, dead, injured, attacking each other… In a video, published on October 17, the Nos Viventia association denounces the breeding conditions “animals for hunting”. The images were shot “by whistleblowers” on several farms, notably that of Gibiers du lac, located in Saint-Mars-de-Coutais.

“We filed a complaint on Wednesday for mistreatment against this farm and the Faisanderie des Bournizeaux, in Loubès-Bernac (Lot-et-Garonne)”indicates Pierre Rigaux, natural ecologist and founder of the Nos Viventia association.

Contacted, the operator of Gibiers du lac said “very surprised by these images”. “Obviously, it’s not fun, but you have to be wary of videos without context, he defends himself. We do everything for animal welfare and if we did not follow the rules, our farms would be closed. We have regular checks. »

The breeder is also considering filing a complaint for violation of private property.
