60 years ago, on Tuesday October 6, 1964, Françoise Sanderre opened a beauty salon in her home on rue Armand-Caduc in La Réole (Gironde), at the crossroads with rue Numa-Ducros, that is to say a few dozen meters from the current Parfumerie Esthétique Nuances.
Today, Julie and Delphine are delighted to be the happy heirs of such a good initiative taken 60 years ago.
A new profession in 1964
In 1964, the beautician profession was brand new.
It was a neighbor who suggested the idea to me.
An idea, all in all, which did not displease, since it has matured well. So well matured that our young Réolese leaves for Bordeaux to take courses at thePaulette Faye aesthetic school.
A year later, Françoise opened her salon. From an important step, Françoise moves on to a happy event by getting married. From now on, Françoise Trouillot will continue to practice her profession asbeautician in the heart of rue Numa-Ducros, today at number 22.
From one to five cabins
She developed the business from one to three, then to five cabins, while passing on her passion for the profession to apprentices.
At the same time, she liked to join the Chamber of Trades where she chaired the CAP and professional certificate juries.
Retirement time
In 2013 at the age of 68, Françoise “retired after 49 years of very pleasant activities”.
She leaves the living room happy. Julie, her daughter, with whom she has been associated since 2003, continues the adventure.
Françoise testifies that you only need to walk a few meters to find happiness!
