The Senegal-Japan Vocational and Technical Training Center (CFPT-SJ) is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, a milestone in the history of vocational training in Senegal.

On this occasion, Moustapha Sarré, Minister of Vocational Training and Government Spokesperson, highlighted the importance of this event and praised the valuable cooperation between Senegal and Japan.

In his speech, Moustapha Sarré recalled the central role played by the CFPT-SJ in the training of thousands of young Senegalese and the West African sub-region over the last four decades. “I underline the importance of the 40th anniversary of the Senegal-Japan Vocational and Technical Training Center (CFPT-SJ). This event, chaired by Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, demonstrates our commitment to developing a skilled workforce to support our industry,” he said.

“We warmly thank Japan for its valuable cooperation, which has enriched the vocational training sector in Senegal and the sub-region for forty years,” continues Mr. Sarré.
