Breakup confirmed between Macky and Amadou Ba: the APR withdraws its candidates in 46 departments

The Alliance for the Republic (APR) has set up a commission to evaluate the negotiation and investiture process within the Takku Wallu Senegal coalition and the opposition inter-coalition. This initiative follows the publication of the lists of candidates nominated for the legislative elections of November 17, 2024.

The examination of the investitures in several departments noted, to the great “dismay” of the APR, “the lack of sincerity, the murky maneuvers and the cheating” which marked the approach of the Jamm ak Njariñ coalition. “The absurd and perfidious scheme implemented in Guédiawaye is the perfect illustration of this,” accuses the party.

These behaviors, which the APR describes as “the antipodes of political elegance”, led to the breakdown of the alliance with this “coalition in the forty-six departments of the country.”

However, despite this recorded break, the APR was surprised to discover the inauguration of one of its officials, Ms. Néné Fatoumata Tall, as Mr. Aliou Sall’s running mate on the departmental list of Jamm ak Njariñ in Guédiawaye.

Consequently, the APR decided to simply remove Ms. Néné Fatoumata Tall from the list of Jamm ak Njariñ in Guédiawaye, and calls for a systematic rejection of this candidacy.
