1,500 Donations are needed every day in the Grand Est region to meet the needs of patients. The May holiday period is fast approaching but for the sick, there are no public holidays. The French Blood Establishment (EFS) is accelerating its communication campaign as the four public holidays approach.
“ Public holidays and bridges lead to a drop in collection. For example, with the Easter weekend, around 10,000 bags could not be collected and we estimate that the May public holidays will deprive us of 20,000 donations. », Specifies Hervé Meinrad, director of collection and production at the EFS, in a press release.
