Friday September 27, a sixty-year-old woman who was cycling on the departmental road near Eyzin-Pinet was hit by a car. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The tragedy occurred around 4:20 p.m. this Friday, September 27. While cycling on the D41C departmental road, near Eyzin-Pinet (Isère), south of , a 67-year-old woman was hit by a car.

Under the violence of the impact, the sixty-year-old was thrown around twenty meters further, onto a communal path bordering the road. In cardio-respiratory arrest when help arrived, she was declared dead on the spot by the Smur doctor despite an attempt at resuscitation.

The 70-year-old man driving the car was not injured. Shocked, he was taken care of by emergency services. An investigation will have to determine the circumstances of the accident.
