After an Ardennese carrying the Olympic flame, our department will also have a representative at the refereeing level.
Jean-Louis Cerbelle, a 68-year-old Ardennes resident, retired, former sports instructor and multiple World and French champions in canoeing, will be one of the referees appointed by the International Olympic Federation in the canoe category.
Jean-Louis Cerbelle will not be the only French referee and since the big news, he has been preparing very seriously.
The icing on the cake is that Jean-Louis Cerbelle will also be the referee for the Paralympic Games which will follow the Olympics.
Note that we are D-100 this Wednesday before the start of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with the opening ceremony on the Seine on July 26.
For the occasion, the Olympic Organizing Committee is opening the ticket office one last time to make 250,000 tickets available from 10 a.m. this Wednesday morning.
