The couple who formed in 2007, while filming a report in Spain, navigate between several places of life. They regularly travel to Provence, as well as to Morocco, Jamel Debbouze’s country of origin. It is there, moreover, that Mélissa Theuriau and Jamel Debbouze had organized the rest of their wedding. But on a daily basis, it is in that the two lovebirds spend most of their time

Jamel Debbouze and Mélissa Theuriau: a Parisian love

Originally from , a for which he maintains a strong attachment, Jamel Debbouze has for many years become a Parisian at heart. A choice which can also be explained by the love that his wife, Mélissa Theuriau, has for the City of Lights. “Like any provincial who has dreamed of Paris, I know how to appreciate it. Also because I have a privileged life there…”she confided to Madame Figaro. “My life is here and, with children reaching adolescence and achieving success in sport and the arts, Paris is an opportunity”she explained.

A passion for the capital that she had already satisfied before crossing paths with Jamel Debbouze, since the journalist lived in another district of the capital. “I live in the 3rd arrondissement with my lover who works on TV, too. He is in the process of setting up his production company. In the evening, when I come home, I drink a glass of very good wine with him, and It’s happiness. I live in a Haussmann apartment, near the Square du Temple. There are two beautiful fireplaces, it’s very big, too big for two, it’s almost indecent”she revealed to the magazine She.

Jamel Debbouze, Mélissa Theuriau: their Parisian apartment

As explained in Purepeople, the Debbouze-Theuriau family is therefore based in the center of Paris. The accommodation is nestled on the fourth floor of a building on Île Saint-Louis. A very popular address, particularly appreciated by the wealthiest, and which counts among its residents personalities such as the journalist and writer Claude Sarraute, the actors Edouard Baer and Daniel Auteuil, as well as the politician Roland Dumas.

And the two stars have, it seems, passed on to their children this love for Paris. Indeed, their son Léon, born in December 2008, joined Paris Saint-Germain. He currently plays with the team’s under-16s. A start to his career which made his father even if he did not follow in his footsteps on the stage. “He wants to be a footballer!” Léon Debbouze! Princes Park ! In the World Cup final! Seriously, comedian or footballer, I’m proud as long as he enjoys his life.”

Jamel Debbouze and Mélissa Theuriau: their abandoned house

This apartment is not the couple’s only real estate. In 2013, Jamel Debbouze purchased a sumptuous property, including a vast hunting lodge, nestled on the edge of the Maurepas national forest, close to his parents’ home. This choice demonstrates his deep attachment to his origins and to this natural environment which is so close to his heart. The objective? Build a large villa there, behind closed doors and the hustle and bustle of the capital.

But unfortunately, this project must have been abandoned because “it did not comply with town planning law”confided the mayor (UMP) of Elancourt, Jean-Michel Fourgous, before adding: “They notably wanted to build a large swimming pool there which would have gone around the house”. Since then, the construction of the house has not been completed. The structure, left abandoned, has become the playground of taggers, as well as squatters. We are therefore not ready to see the Debbouze family leave Paris.
