This Thursday evening, GL Events announced in a press release the appointment of Nicolas de Tavernost as vice-president of the board of directors.
At the suggestion of Olivier Ginon, the former manager of M6 bounced back quickly after his departure from the channel this week, where he was replaced on Tuesday by David Larramendy (M6 Publicité).
Born in Calado, Nicolas de Tavernost will also chair the GL Events Strategic Committee. The latter, responsible for analyzing and proposing to the board of directors the future directions of the Lyon group based on the company’s internal skills, will be composed of Anne-Sophie Ginon, Daniel Havis, Lionel Yvant, Grégory Guissard and Félix Crepet.
Nicolas de Tavernost spent 37 years at the head of the sixth channel, starting as deputy to CEO Jean Drucker during the creation of Six. The failure in 2023 of the merger with TF1 which he piloted and which he was then to direct will have precipitated his departure.
Furthermore, the mixed general meeting of GL Events held today recorded the appointment as directors of Caroline Ginon, Grégory Guissard (Trévise Participations) and the ratification of Lionel Yvant (Trévise Participations).
