“Squid Game” season 2 offers the best launch in Netflix history

Four days after the seven new episodes were put online, the streaming platform announced immediate and massive success. The launch of season two was historic: 68 million users around the world watched the series in less than a week. Thanks to this impressive figure, “Squid Game” beats the record previously held by “Wednesday” directed by, among others, Tim Burton. In 2022, the fiction carried by Jenna Ortega had recorded 50.1 million views over the same period.

Will this second salvo manage to surpass its own performance and be more viewed than the first part? The latter is considered the most streamed Netflix show of all time with 265.2 million views during its first 91 days of operation. If season 2 fails to surpass its previous achievement, perhaps season three will. The last episode of season 2, entitled “Friends or Enemies”, ends with unbearable suspense. To find out how this phenomenon series ends, you won’t have to wait too long.
