Invited this Saturday, January 4 on the France 2 show, Jenifer took the opportunity to promote her best-of album entitled Jukeboxavailable on streaming platforms since November 22.

During the interview, she also discussed her television debut, including her participation in the show Star Seeds in 1997, which had left its mark on viewers at the time and launched numerous careers.
“I did not provoke this casting. I really didn’t sign up for this casting willingly. It’s my entourage in fact because music suited me enormously and it was my mother, my aunt, my uncle, everyone involved in my life at that time, who did well to do so because that I was a bit of a tomboy and I had done two or three stupid things, I didn’t go to school very much, I started to mess around a little bit and they realized that music suited me a lot, so they took me up to Paris so that I don’t get cut” she confided before viewing the images of her time in the program.

Jenifer performed the song there God gave me faith by Ophélie Winter. The artist, now 42 years old, looked back on her time in the program: “I’m uncomfortable in my clothes, in my cut. I love Ophelie Winter, but I didn’t want to sing that song, I wanted to sing another one, but at the same time, I didn’t really know what to suggest. I let myself be guided a little bit and it was an experience so I was happy to be there without really being there fundamentally so I don’t know” she expressed with sincerity.
A few years later, Jenifer participated in the talent show Star Academy on TF1, alongside Olivia Ruiz and Jean-Pascal Lacoste. She won the very first season of the show and then had a string of successes, notably with the title In the Sun.
