“Erica did me good, like a best friend“, says Julie de Bona

Tele-Leisure : Erica is a detective series, but not only…
Julie de Bona
: The investigation is a pretext to advance the plot but the most interesting thing is to follow the evolution of the characters. Erica will reconnect with her sister and meet the man of her life.

Did you know the work of Camilla Läckberg, whose novels inspired this fiction?
Initially, I'm not necessarily a fan of thrillers… So I read his books to immerse myself in his world. I appreciate this mix of detective and romantic comedy.

What was it about this heroine that attracted you?
Erica is a tart little candy with lots of humor and wit. He's a very sunny and playful character, I haven't had one like that for a long time! She made me feel good, like a best friend that I wanted to see every day. We can recognize ourselves in her because she reanimates by herself, by life, by joy, by people. She hugs people all the time, she needs to be loved.

Julie de Bona: “I really want to play a badass heroine

Do you have anything in common with your character?
I share more things than usual with my character: her sunny, playful, passionate and determined side. On the other hand, she has this need to be loved much more than me. She doesn't trust men, she was hurt. It's not me. Her delicacy and elegance carried me through the filming. For my part, I am perhaps more tomboy, more cash, more raw.

What role would you like today?
I really want to play a badass heroine. I am a very physical actress: I love doing sports and martial arts. In , we don't use these characters enough, especially for women. It would be great to make a Jennifer Lopez action film!
