The return of Kenny Omega was announced for NJPW’s Wrestle Dynasty PPV in early January 2025 and AEW had started to tease his return, but without any date on this side.
At the AEW Worlds End 2024 PPV on December 28, Kenny Omega made his surprise return. Indeed, while Kazuchika Okada won the 2024 Continental Classic, Kenny Omega showed up to present him with his championship.
Christopher Daniels was going to make the announcement, but he clarified that he is no longer director of AEW and that this one is taking his place. That’s when Omega’s music started playing in the room. Omega presented the AEW Continental title to Okada while doing a face-to-face with the champion, watch here:
An exchange that suggests that Kenny Omega will be in the race for the AEW Continental champion when he returns to the ring.
Kenny Omega is finally ready to make his return to action. His next appearance in the AEW ring remains one to watch.
