The Bellerive-Evasion Association saw the big picture to celebrate four decades of activities.
Created in 1984 by a dozen friends who were on the move and wanted to travel, it has grown to have nearly 400 members today. 200 of them took over the Palais de Congrès to attend a concert by the excellent New Orleans jazz band and watch a souvenir film on all the activities, including the numerous trips and hikes.
The testimonies of the elders commented on the photos and the short films retracing the epics of the beginnings. The members of the board of directors then went on stage to perform a skit to the glory of Bellerive-Évasion.
After the traditional family photo, everyone gathered under the dome of the Berlioz salon for a magnificent buffet dinner, to the sound of gypsy jazz which allowed people to dance.
At the end of the evening, the musicians accompanied the enormous, sparkling five-story cake, to the applause of the entire assembly. And as often, the party ended with singing, the members having taken up the song in chorus. Friendship a precious good, which we celebrate this evening.
While President Sylvie Schoumsky rejoiced at the great success of this anniversary: “Friendship and conviviality were celebrated with cheerfulness”. Furthermore, the president declared: “Here we go again for 40 years! »
While recalling that Bellerive-Évasion included three commissions: hiking, trips and festivals and events and specifying: “We have a partnership with Creps concerning the organization of hikes. »
Sylvie Schoumsky also wanted to announce some important events for Bellerive-Évasion: “The trip to Guadeloupe in January; the snowshoe trip to Savoie in January; the trip to Morocco in April; the trip to Ireland in May; the “hiking” stay in Collange-le-Rouge in September and in December a trip to Alsace. »
