First of all, Maison Francoeur is a pop-up store. So what is it? Choose a room, a date and propose a temporary sale of products. In the case of this business in Orléans (Loiret), it involves second-hand clothing, works of art, tattooing and the application of varnish and nails.
An event which will take place from Saturday November 30 to Sunday December 1 with the support of Youth Information Center (CIJ), which supports the pop-up in its projects.
But first of all, who is behind Maison Francoeur? What is the history of this non-physical store but deeply rooted in the city center?
Lalie Didier, passed through Paris and returned to Orléans
“I first started my business in Paris,” explains Lalie Didier, at the head of the pop-up store with her partner. Maison Francoeur will celebrate next February its three candles. Why did you come back? “I am originally from Orléans and I began to have a bit of homesickness. I wanted to come back here to make up for the lack of places to buy second-hand clothes. »
An important subject is also being able to do things in Orléans and not having to go to Tours or Paris. The people of Orléans are in demand for these kinds of events and we are keen to continue to provide them with this dose of culture.
Over time, the entrepreneur wants to see her pop-up store grow, “and we felt that there was a great demand for this type of offerwe already had very good feedback on our first events,” she adds.
No store, but a very real presence
Still lacking sufficient funds to open a storethe business organizes several events during the year. Meetings that attract more people, leading to more exhibitors in a larger space.
This is also the third event they have organized at the 3 rue de la Cholerie in Orléans. “The novelty of this event is that we are opening a third room in the space with around twenty exhibitors. » At the beginning, there were only five or six of them.
Among these twenty, you will find textile designers, thrift stores, tattoo artists, artists and more! And for this edition, a guessing game is open to everyone: guess the weight of a suitcase in order to win 50 euros voucher.
