The orangery of the Jardin des Plantes welcomed, Friday, November 22, the volunteers, partners and sponsors of the Pink Blouses, for the 80th anniversary of the association and the 15th anniversary of the Orléans committee.
Their mission is to bring “smiles, distraction and comfort to hospitalized children and adults, and to elderly people in retirement homes.” Their names are Sylvie, Joëlle, Marie-France, Caroline or even Quentin… For 80 years, the Pink Blouses volunteers have worked to soothe fragile, lonely or sick people.

A “relationship of trust”
Friday, November 22 in the evening, the Orléans committee, which has 55 volunteers, invited its partners and sponsors to the orangery of the Jardin des Plantes to celebrate this anniversary. But also his own: because the association has been present in Orléans for fifteen years. She works at the University Hospital, with children in pediatric and medical emergencies, with siblings in the neonatology department, at the Serenne Foundation and with the elderly in geriatrics and in three nursing homes: Bois Fleuri in Saran, les Écureuils in Saint -Jean-de-Braye and Pierre-Pagot in Orléans.

“In fifteen years, a real relationship of trust has been built with the CHU and sustained. This is essential, and it represents long-term work with the staff,” explains Delphine Pellé de Queral, who chairs the Gowns committee. roses from Orléans for nine months.
“We not only make a donation, but each time we present a meaningful project, with joy and enthusiasm. To do this, we had to adapt, professionalize and structure ourselves.”

Because even if the Pink Blouses remain an associative structure, “our values are commitment, availability, sharing and listening. Without forgetting laughter and smiles!”
An “MRI in play”
And the president took the opportunity to announce the realization of one of the association's projects: the installation, at the University Hospital, on November 13, of an in-game MRI. A fun simulator, which helps reduce stress children during the examination and limit the use of sedation. It should be inaugurated in January 2025.
