Remco Evenepoel: “Looking forward to getting back into competition”

“I’m looking forward to getting back into racing at the Tour of Britain after my post-Olympic break. My last period of racing was very special for me and it was great to recharge my batteries afterwards, but it’s time to put my bib back on before the big races this autumn. It’s particularly nice to be able to start in Scotland, where I remember winning the individual time trial at the World Championships last summer.”declares Remco Evenepoel.

“We have a strong selection for this race”continues Klaas Lodewyck director of the Soudal Quick-Step. “The decision will be made in the first three days, we will see what Julian and Remco can do on this hilly terrain. Then in the next three stages we should have a bunch sprint, so we will support Paul, who comes here after a great result in Plouay. Ultimately we are really looking forward to a week of great racing.”
