Berlin – Germany said on Friday that it is closely following the initiatives launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI towards Africa, citing the Royal Initiative aimed at facilitating access to the Atlantic Ocean for the Sahel countries.

Germany “is closely following the initiatives launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI towards the African continent, including that of November 6, 2023 towards the Sahel region” with the aim of facilitating access to the Atlantic Ocean for the countries of the region, underlines the joint declaration adopted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Ms. Annalena Baerbock, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr. Nasser Bourita, who held, Friday in Berlin, the 1st session of the Morocco-Germany Multidimensional Strategic Dialogue.

Germany also welcomed the active and constructive role and contribution of Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in favor of peace and stability in the region, reaffirming that the Kingdom is an essential partner of the European Union, NATO and Germany in Africa and a crucial link between North and South.
