The first round of the 2024 legislative elections has given its verdict in Clermont-Ferrand and Puy-de-Dôme.
Three left-wing candidates, one RN candidate, the two outgoing MPs in unfavorable ballots… Here is who qualifies for the second round this Sunday, July 7.
The 1st constituency (Clermont-Cournon):
- Marianne Maximus (New Popular Front, LFI): 38.14% of registered voters
- Louis Clément (RN): 27.49%
- Hervé Prononce (Horizons): 24.08%
The outgoing NFP MP is doing very well and should retain her seat. In the event of a triangular, the candidate of the presidential majority who came third would have to withdraw.
The 2nd constituency (Riom):
- Christine Pires-Beaune (New Popular Front, PS): 36.20%
- Isabelle Dupré (RN): 34.34%
The outgoing MP Christine Pires-Beaune just finished in the lead against the RN candidate.
The 3rd constituency (Clermont-Montagne):
- Nicolas Bonnet (New Popular Front, EELV): 31.72%
- Laurence Vichnievski (Ensemble, MoDem): 26.03%
- Nadine Pers (RN) : 25,93%
The outgoing MP, Laurence Vichnievski, finished second.
The 4th constituency (Issoire):
- Benjamin Chalus (RN) : 31,63%
- Delphine Lingemann (Ensemble, MoDem) : 27,38%
- Valérie Goléo (New Popular Front, LFI): 26.63%
Delphine Lingemann finished second. She should benefit in the second round from the possible withdrawal of Valérie Goléo.
The 5th constituency (Thiers-Ambert):
- André Chassaigne (New Popular Front, PCF): 37.77%
- Brigitte Carletto (RN): 37.02%
The historic deputy for Puy-de-Dôme, André Chassaigne, comes less than a thousand votes ahead of the far-right candidate.
