Currently being treated for cancer, Kate Middleton is making herself scarce at public events, which could change things during a sports competition which is due to take place soon, as indicated by the English press.
It is one of the most followed sporting events in England and Kate Middleton is one of its biggest fans. Like every year at the same time, the Wimbledon tournament will take place in London and for two weeks, the greatest players on the planet will try to win the prestigious Grand Slam tournament. For now, the suspense is still complete regarding the participation of Novak Djokovic in this 2024 edition, he who was injured during the semi-finals of Roland-Garros a few weeks ago.
Every year, the royal family visits the stands at Wimbledon to watch the matches and Kate Middleton seems truly passionate about tennis. During each final, it is she who brings the trophy to the winner, but given her current state of health, it is difficult to know if she could be there. Suffering from cancer and currently undergoing treatment, she made a comeback, dressed in white and smiling with her children during Trooping the Color on June 15. However, there is no indication that she will be present to present the trophy to the winner of Wimbledon this year. The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) which organises the tournament every year, through the voice of former English player Debbie Jevans has announced that they “remained flexible” concerning the personality who would be responsible for presenting the trophy.
