A star host and producer for many years in France, Arthur has had a brilliant career which has allowed him to be at the head of an immense fortune. But money does not prevent health problems, and the fifty-year-old confirmed this by revealing the worries that have troubled him since a very young age. An unexpected coming out.

In both hosting and production, Arthur is a reference in the French television industry. For over 30 years, the Casablanca native has been on the airwaves or channels of the French, having notably hosted some cult programs such as “Les enfants de la télé”, “Vériven tout est permis”, or “A prendre ou à laisser”.

Rather discreet about his private life, the man who nevertheless placed himself on the front line to defend the Israeli cause at the end of 2023 nevertheless provides some information about himself here and there. This is what he did recently when talking about his health, and more particularly two disorders which affect him on a daily basis…

Arthur opens up about his health issues

In the podcast “Génération Do It Yourself”, the man who is one of the most influential and wealthy personalities on French television opened up like never before:

I have had a problem since birth, I am deaf in my right ear and I have blocked sinuses. When I was a kid, I regularly suffered from ear infections. I had a paracentesis and I became deaf in my right ear.

If these pathologies do not present serious threats to health, they are particularly inconvenient and delicate to live with. Moreover, Arthur revealed a little secret about the headset that he has worn since the very beginning of his career – and contrary to what one might believe, it is not to be in contact with the management:

I wear a right earpiece during my TV shows, not so that people can talk to me, but so that I can hear my guests. In this headset, I have the amplified sound of the guests’ microphones.

Fortunately, what is a big handicap in such a profession has not prevented Arthur from achieving his impressive career, and from still teeming with projects. He should also bring the show “Who wants to be a millionaire?” up to date soon, taking up the torch from the eternal Jean-Pierre Foucault. A project planned for the 25th anniversary of the famous program, and which already delights viewers.

Being deaf in one ear when you are a television and radio presenter? A very difficult situation to manage, which Arthur fortunately knew how to tackle with great professionalism. Let’s hope, however, that these problems can be resolved, you never know, and that he will be definitively rid of them in the years to come.
