In the middle of a promotional tour, Louise Bourgoin granted an exclusive interview to Rebecca Manzoni, the France Inter journalist. The opportunity for the actress to confide in her time at the Beaux-Arts in Rennes and in particular on her drawing classes where she found herself facing naked men. “I entered the Beaux-Arts at 17. I was young, I hadn’t done any preparatory classes after my baccalaureate. We had nude classes.”she first confided, specifying that these men were “often dancers”. And to add: I was scarlet to see like that, for hours, completely naked men in front of me. And I said to myself: ‘Poor guy, he must suffer from not moving at all.’ Sometimes he would take a break, do dancer’s stretches, and then return to the pose. I drew extremely quickly, telling myself: ‘I have to finish otherwise it won’t last.’ More I was scarlet red during the first nude class, that was something.

Louise Bourgoin: a far from idyllic start to her career

After talking about her famous drawing classes at the Beaux-Arts, Louise Bourgoin remembered her first steps on television. A period of which she does not have very good memories, in particular because of the enormous pressure she put on herself before going on air. “I was so scared”she declared on the airwaves of France Inter. “I felt like I was jumping into the void during my first show. I was so stressed that I didn’t even remember what I had said or what had happened when I left the set. I had a stress blackout. I reached such peaks of stress during those two years at Le Grand Journal, even though I loved what I did and the freedom I was given, I was galvanized, I had an adrenaline rush every night at the same time. But sometimes, I was so stressed that I had a fit of shaking as if we had just done a marathon.”continued the one who was trembling “like a leaf”.
