Injured by a horse, the sister of Charles III was hospitalized in Bristol on Sunday June 23. Since then, her husband has visited her bedside, discussing her state of health.

He was by her side when she was taken to Bristol Hospital on Sunday June 23. Timothy Laurence indeed accompanied Princess Anne, injured by a horse, to Southmead Hospital. The daughter of Elizabeth II suffered “minor injuries and a concussion,” the palace said in a statement. Since then, the princess’s husband went to her bedside, where he remained for two hours, on Tuesday June 25. While there, he spoke about his wife’s state of health. “She is doing well, and is recovering slowly but surely,” he said. The vice-admiral also brought her “a few treats” to comfort her.

“Memory loss”

Timothy Laurence also expressed his gratitude to hospital staff. “We are deeply grateful to the medical team and support staff at the hospital for their expert care – and to the emergency services who were all so wonderful at the scene,” he continued. “We are both deeply touched by all the lovely messages we have received from so many people. It means the world to us.” The palace explained the circumstances of the incident in an official message the day before.

“The Princess was walking within the secure perimeter of Gatcombe Park when an incident occurred – it caused Her Royal Highness to suffer minor head injuries,” palace spokespeople wrote. Before adding: “While the exact cause of these injuries has not been confirmed, there were horses in the area and Her Royal Highness’s medical teams agree that they were the result of a potential impact of a horse’s head or leg.” THE Telegraph later revealed that Princess Anne suffered from slight, but “temporary,” memory loss.
