A new fund is created in Rimouski in honor of a former employee of the CISSS du Bas-Saint-Laurent, Arianne Dubé, who died in an accident on Highway 20 in 2023.

Mathéo won’t have known her for long, but we want to at least put things in place that will ensure that he understands to what extent his mother had a positive effect on people’s lives.explains her partner, Nicholas Lepage, speaking of her toddler.

Arianne Dubé lost her life in November 2023 while driving on Highway 20, in the Saint-Anaclet-de-Lessard sector.

She was a special education teacher for CISSS. The Arianne Fund will honor her memory by supporting clients with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders and physical disabilities.

Several members of his family were present at the announcement of the creation of this fund on Wednesday at the Hôtel Rimouski. Mr. Lepage was very emotional during the press briefing.

He believes that this fund represents the best way to perpetuate the memory of his wife for the general population, but also for his son.

We’re trying to make Arianne shine in there and create memories for Mathéo.

A quote from Nicholas Lepage, Arianne Dubé’s partner

The new fund will be managed jointly by the Fondation Santé Mitis, the Fondation du CRDI-TSA and the Fondation Santé Rimouski.

Arianne, that was it. It was about helping as many people as possible and that’s what we’re doing by uniting three foundationsadds Mr. Lepage.

The spokesperson for these three foundations, Stéphanie Boulianne, explains that Arianne’s family made a first approach at the beginning of the year for the creation of the Arianne Fund.

The stars have truly aligned. The cause is noble. These are clienteles who are often disadvantaged. So investing in this type of project, equipment or direct services to patients, for us, it made sense to do it in the name of Arianneshe explains.

Arianne Dubé’s family has already contributed to the fund by donating $10,000. People can make a donation by visiting the site www.fondsarianne.com.
